Candraprabha
I was ordained in 2002 and moved to Tiratanaloka in November 2005, having previously lived in Colchester where I worked as a speech & language therapist. I grew up in Northern Ireland and although I haven’t lived there for over 20 years I still go back regularly to visit my family. Here at Tiratanaloka my particular responsibilities, outside of running retreats, are the office and anything to do with computers. We’re mostly a community of Macintosh users but I like to keep my hand in with PCs as well! Being here is my first time living in community and working in a team-base right livelihood and it has been a tremendously positive (not to say challenging!) experience. I feel very fortunate to be in a position to be working here, having done my own training for ordination at Tiratanaloka and appreciating the real difference each of those retreats made to my life. I have a longstanding wish to own and drive a very fast car, but that seems to be diminishing wihich is probably a good thing. See also Candraprabha's blog |
